There is no real surprise that they are inspired freely by actual 14th-century originals,
including those of the famous Black Prince, which can be seen on his effigy in the Canterbury Cathedral.
The gauntlets include a leather glove and are made from 16 gauge (approx. 1,6 mm thick) steel.

These functional gauntlets have a wide cuff and offer excellent freedom of movement.
It is believed that the original gauntlets were made in Milan Italy between 1370-1400.
Consequently,
these gauntlets are most suitable for a late 14th to early 15th century Medieval re-enactment armor harnesses.
